Description
The ACS758 ICIntegrated Circuit by Allegro is a Hall Effect sensor that can measure AC or DC current and outputs a voltage proportional to the input current. Compared to the ACS712 and ACS723, the ACS725 has more options for greater input current with different versions of the chip, a lower path resistance of 0.1mΩ, higher isolation voltage (Basic 990Vpk or VDC/700Vrms and Reinforced 636Vpk or VDC/450Vrms), and a bandwidth of 120kHz, and a wider VCC supply range of 3.0V to 5.5V. However, the ACS758 has reduced sensitivity and accuracy compared to the ACS712 and ACS723.
More details on the ACS58 IC and modules can be found in the Current Sensors article.
