Description

The Adafruit ItsyBitsy M4 Express microcontroller board breaks out the ATSAMD51 MCUMicrocontroller Unit on a small board with an ItsyBitsy form factor (1.4in x 0.7in). The board includes a Micro-B USB connector for power and programming, 2MB SPISerial Peripheral Interface Flash chip, reset button, and DotStar RGBRed Green Blue LEDLight Emitting Diode.

Power

The board can be powered with 5V using the Micro-B USB connector. There are also a few power related pins.

BAT input pin from an alternative power source to USB, such as a battery, where the voltage range is 3.5V to 6V DC. The board's circuitry will switch between BAT and USB dynamically if one of them loses power.
5V output pin is the same as the Micro-B USB connector's 5V power pin.
G pin is the common/ground/0V reference.
VHI output pin gives you the higher voltage from BAT or USB, for driving LEDs, servos, and other 5V devices.
