Description

The HopeRF RFM69HCW 868MHz and 915MHz RF transceiver boards are based on the Semtech SX1231 chipset These modules are designed to work in the ISMIndustrial, Scientific, and Medical radio bands and SRDShort Range Device frequency bands of 868MHz for Europe or 915MHz for North America. It has a range up to 500 meters in open air. Transmission communication is half-duplex and supports FSKFrequency-Shift Keying modulation, GFSKGaussian Frequency-Shift Keying modulation, MSKMinimum-Shift Keying modulation, GMSKGaussian Minimum-Shift Keying modulation, and OOKOn-Off Keying modulation modulations. FSKFrequency-Shift Keying modulation bit rates range up to 300Kbps. The data interface uses a four-wire SPISerial Peripheral Interface plus an interrupt line. There are different versions of the RFM69 module: RFM69HCW, RFM69HW, RFM69W, and RFM69CW. The RFM69HCW and RFM69HW modules are functionally equivalent, but they differ in both module size and pinout (the HCW module size is 16mm x 16mm, whereas the HW module size is 16mm x 19.7mm). The RFM69W is a low power version that has the same footprint as the RFM69HW. The RFM69CW is functionally equivalent to the RFM69W, with the same footprint and pinout as the RFM12B, intended as an upgrade path for the RFM12B with about 30% more range. The pin hole spacing for the RFM69HCW is 2mm, which is not the same as the breadboard 2.54mm (0.1in).
